Description
Setting up a dressage arena at home is a great way to practice your test, but it’s also a useful training tool. Having a dressage arena allows you to work with predictable figures and exercises that encourage good balance and timing.
Of course, we don’t all have a whole football field worth of flat land to practice on! That’s OK. You can scale a dressage arena to fit the area that you have. This lesson plan helps you with the dimensions of a scaled arena. It includes tables with measurements for 3/4, 5/8. and 1/2 size arenas for both 40 and 80 meter arenas. If you are more visual (like me), there are also diagrams with the scaled arenas.
Of course, no arena is complete without letters. So the letters are on all of the diagrams, so you get them in the right spot!
