Back to: About Online Classes
With each class I give, there are downloadable materials to go along with the course.
Articles
Most of my online classes are born from an article on the subject. Those articles cover the key concepts, and even include much of the coaching I’ll give you in the online class. If I haven’t written an article on the subject, I write one just for the class!
Lesson Plans
If I had to give you just one reason to sign up for an online class, it would be for the lesson plans. Those lesson plans help you put what you’ve learned in the class into practice in the real world. During the class I’ll give you the coaching for the lesson plans that I give my students when they’re working the plans.
To call those lesson plans “comprehensive”, might be an understatement. Each lesson plan includes a series of sequential exercises designed to build one skill upon another. The lesson plans are broken down into sections to help keep your focus where it belongs every step of the way.
Lesson Plan Sections
- Time, Materials, Goals ~ How long is it going to take? What do need to get it done? What are trying to accomplish?
- Before the Lesson ~ What should you know before you get started (and where to get that information.)
- Setup ~ What needs to be in place and where before you start work.
- Exercise Briefing ~ The coaching you’ll need to make the best use of each exercise.
- Exercise Details ~ The specific movements of the exercise detailed in an easy to follow step-by-step instructions.
- Performance Priorities ~ The things that you should be paying particular attention to during each exercise.
Between the articles and the lesson plans, you’ll get everything but the pony and the cart to get you on your way!
The course materials page will have all of those cool downloadable materials on it. Just click the icon for the material that you want to view. You can download it to your computer or device. Once you’ve downloaded the material, you can review right on your device. You can even print it so you can look at it on good old fashioned paper. I have many students who print out their materials and keep them in a 3-ring binder. That way they can bring them to the barn, and look them up any time they want without breaking out the electronics.
