I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Mine has been pretty darn good, and still going strong. I get to have two this year since my sky family will be celebrating our own “FriendsGiving” this weekend.
This is definitely one of my favorite holidays of all of them. Cook, eat, drink, be merry. So freekin simple, I love it! No shopping for me, thank you. I’ve been happily sitting here in peace at the computer for most of the day.
I’ve taken that time to give you a quick read about the 3 main things you can do to make help your horse get the “The Skill of Being Still.” I figure this is a good time of year for you to take a few minutes to refresh those fundamentals.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday… bla, bla, bla….
I kind of have always resented the whole “Black Friday” thing. I mean, I’m not a big shopper in the first place, so to join throngs of people assaulting one another for deals and steals, just not my vibe.
Alas, I’ve decided to participate at some level in this whole sale weekend thing. I justify my actions on three accounts. 1. You don’t have to leave your computer to participate 2. I’m broken, therefore 3. I’m broke.
You may have read my recent blog post “Humbling Reminders” in which I describe how none of us are beyond the dangers of hitching large flight animals to wheeled inanimate objects. That reminder was served to me a couple of weekends ago with a side of broken ribs and a lunge reduction (well actually collapsed.)
On the up side: The pain seems to have transitioned from “exquisite pain” (a term used by a friend who’s a doctor) into a more friendly constant ache.
That means doing those things like… thinking, are a whole lot easier these days. So I’m still taking it easy physically, but I’m slightly more functional as a human being.
The down side: I’m waiting for the shoe to drop on the actual cost of this adventure. Yes, I have health insurance, so we’re not talking bankruptcy here. That said, I’ll probably get the rare opportunity to max out that out of pocket expense side. Too bad it has to happen at the end of the year!
What does that mean to you? As much as I hate this whole Black-Friday/Cyber-Monday BS, I guess I’ll play along with the game. So for this weekend only, you can take 30% off your entire purchase at CoachmansDelight.com
That’s a pretty good deal I think. There’s a ton of good material on the website now including classes, lesson plans, and articles. Stock up on everything you’ve wanted to read of mine, then enter the code turkey19 in the coupon code window in your cart.
30% will be taken off of the entire order before you checkout.
The Not So Fine Print:
I can’t offer this kind of discount forever, because, this is actually how I make my living. So the sale ends on Tuesday Dec. 3rd. You can use the code for one transaction, so buy all the things at once! 😉
Please Don’t Ask for:
- Retroactive discounts for stuff you already bought this week/month/year.
- Exceptions after the coupon code has expired.
- Extra discount codes for additional transactions because you were a little uncertain that the class, lesson plan, or article would be worth it, but now that you have downloaded it, and discovered all of the awesome it contains, you want everything available for 30% off.
- Physical products. Everything on the site is 100% downloadable content.
You’ll have access to those downloads for 6 months. That means, don’t be a slacker! Download your stuff right away. Once it’s on your computer you can look at it anytime you want, and keep it forever!
Looking Ahead
Yes, more online classes are in the works! I’ve been interrupted by a a busier than usual fall with ponies, then the slow rebound from being squished.
Reinsmanship classes are coming up first, followed by some good stuff on engagement. Stay tuned for the updates as soon as they come through.
Take care,
Andy
